I'm really bummed that I couldn't participate in the Shoreline Classic this past Sunday. I'd been training for this 15K race since June! I'm blaming it all on that little thing called surgery. Anyway, just because I couldn't run didn't mean the kids couldn't participate! So I signed all three of them up for the "Tot Trot". For Paige's age group it was a 50 yard dash and for the older two it was a 200 yard dash. They were so excited to be able to run in a race...."just like mommy does"! They (mostly Riley) are always begging to go running with me. They all received bib numbers and a finishers medal to make it official. Nobody really "won".....it was more like a participation thing. It was fun watching them get so excited about the "race". It's cool to see them take an interest in something I'm involved in.
