{Riley is 7!}

Riley turned 7 on the 15th......I can't believe I have a 7 year old! She is such a....KID! Not a little one anymore. Well, anyway....bless her little heart. I was at a conference all day on her birthday (I know...I felt SO guilty!), and she waited all day so patiently to open her presents and have her birthday cake. That is why the kids are in their pj's in a few of the pictures. I didn't get home until 7:30, so you can imagine her excitement when I returned home. Nanna and Popper were there along with Mark, Luke and Paige, so they helped make her day special. The next day we had her party at the roller rink here in town. Several of her friends could not make it because they were leaving for spring break vacation. I wondered if I should reschedule, but Riley insisted it be on that Sunday. Well, her closest friends were there so it really didn't matter how many people showed up for the party. They all had a great time! Even Luke and Paige. ;) Mark and I even laced up and hit the rink for a few laps. Wow...what a blast from the past. It brought back memories of roller skating in our basement on Gage Street in Somonauk to "Psalty the Songbook" songs. Heather and Heidi----do you remember?! Even my dad put some skates on....for 2 minutes! ;) Well, we all had a good time....now Luke says he wants his party at the roller rink. Oh boy! " How about bowling instead?!"
