{I'm baaaack!}

Did you notice....it's been exactly 1 year since my last post!  I'll give you a moment to get up off the floor and collect yourself....................................

Well, since it has been so long I'm a little overwhelmed as to where to start up again.  Do I start where I left off and try to catch up?  Do I do a video montage of everything interesting that has happened in the past year?  How about just the highlights?  Well, I decided to start with something simple.  Baby steps, you know?  Something recent....Valentine's Day.

Mark was out of town on Valentine's Day, but I still had 3 other CuTiEs to make me feel loved.  It was a busy day filled with school, piano lessons and our traditional heart themed dinner.  Usually we order a heart pizza from Papa Murphy's, but this year I made a homemade cheese pizza (not as good as P.M.'s).  I put a big heart cookie on the table and just let the kids cut whatever size they wanted.  They thought that was pretty cool and to my surprise, they didn't eat the entire thing! And lastly, we passed around the "I saw something good" box. It really does make the kids feel so special when they hear something nice read about themselves.  Now that we have been doing this for a few years, the kiddos have caught on.  They make an effort to go out of their way to do something nice for somebody else, just to have more hearts in the box.  Now, if only I could get creative and think of a way for them to continue that behavior all year long! Hmmmm.....(I would link back to my post about this from a couple of years ago, but I don't know how to do that YET....baby steps, remember?)
